After you arrive at Adagio and check into your vacation rental condo, you must decide how to spend your first day of vacation. This blog post will cover quintessential first-day activities for singles, couples, and families. Keep reading to learn more.
CHECK-IN DAY
MID-AFTERNOON
Head to the Grocery Store
Plan to arrive in Santa Rosa Beach by mid-afternoon. Before checking in at your rental, stop by one of our local grocery stores to pick up essentials for the week. Planning ahead, creating meal plans, and making a shopping list will help you save time and stay organized. Discover our nearby grocery chains, local markets, international markets, and seafood markets, and be stocked up for the week ahead.
Check-in at Your Vacation Rental
Check-in at Adagio begins at 5:00 pm (CT), so you can arrive anytime after that. You will head directly to your rental for self-checkin. Take a look around your rental and unpack your vehicle. Put your groceries away, then head to dinner.
EVENING
Dine at a Local Restaurant
Kick off your vacation with dinner at one of our delicious restaurants. Cafe Thirty-A and Stinky’s Fish Camp are just two of our favorite restaurants… and we can’t wait for you to try them!
Catch a Sensational Sunset
You will be surrounded by the best places to see the best sunset. Check out one of our four favorite spots to watch the sunset on 30A and marvel at the majestic sky. It is also the perfect time to snap an Instagram-worthy photo.
LATE EVENING
Take an Evening Walk on the Beach
Before you head to bed, take a late-evening stroll on the beach. This is an ideal way to unwind, connect with your family, enjoy the coastal breeze, listen to the waves lapping the shore, and wonder at the night sky.
YOUR FIRST FULL DAY
MORNING
Breakfast and Beach
Wake up in paradise and have a cup of coffee from the balcony of your vacation rental. Enjoy a lazy morning with a light breakfast, then head out to the beach for the main attraction. You can use the Adagio beach services if you need beach chairs or umbrellas. With convenient beach access, it is easy to spend the rest of your morning lounging in the sun, playing in the sand, and splashing in the waves.
AFTERNOON
Lunch and Pool
Head back to your rental unit, rinse off the sand, and fix a few sandwiches for lunch. After some rest, it’s time to visit one of our two pools. Lounge poolside and relax in the sparkling blue water. Children will love swimming, and parents will enjoy resting.
EVENING
BBQ Dinner and Bike Ride
Back at your rental, grab everything you need for an epic beachside BBQ. Adagio has four community grilling areas, and depending on your preference, you can choose between gas and charcoal.
After dinner, stay in and play a game or go for a bike ride. Bike rentals are available on-site (and some are offered complimentary with a few of our rentals). Pedal around our charming little seaside community for a few hours of fun.
NIGHT
Relax and Head to Bed
Wow! Have you had a wonderful first day at Adagio or what? Now that the sun has set and you’ve had a full day of fun in the sun, it is time to wind down. Snuggle up on the couch for a movie and some popcorn, gather around the dining table for a round of Uno, or sit on the balcony with a glass of your favorite wine. Before you turn in for the night, make some plans for tomorrow. It’s time to get some rest. Tomorrow is another full day of beachside bliss and fun.
