The Perfect First Day of Vacation

1. Take a Deep Breath

Whether you have flown or driven to 30A, it is time to take a moment to inhale the sea breeze and exhale the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day life. Welcome to your first day of vacation. We are so glad you are here. At Adagio 30A, we have done everything possible to make the transition from traveler to vacationer as easy as possible.

2. Check-in with Ease

We make checking into your condo as easy as 1, 2, 3. The rental agreement for your vacation condo has been signed online, you have been emailed your automatic door codes, and you’ve familiarized yourself with Adagio and the surrounding area by reading our blog. For your convenience, our offices are located adjacent to the Adagio complex. If you need us, we are right here!

3. Take a Tour of Your Rental

Upon arrival, walk around and settle into your home away from home. If your family hasn’t already decided who will have each bedroom, now is the time to do so. Familiarize yourself with the unit, and make a note of any items you may need to purchase to make your stay more comfortable.

4. Time to Unpack

Take a few minutes to unpack the car and/or your suitcases. If you have brought a cooler, be sure to put those items in the refrigerator in the fully-equipped kitchen. By taking the time to unpack and unload everything now, you can rest & unwind later.

5. Head to the Grocery Store

Many families take advantage of the kitchen in their condo and the grilling area to prepare breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. From simple sandwiches to a full-course evening meal around the dining table, the options are endless. Making a meal plan and a shopping list ahead of time will prove to be very helpful. Head to one of our local grocery stores to pick up your food items, personal products, or any other supplies needed. If you prefer, use a service like Instacart to deliver your groceries directly to your doorstep.

6. What’s for Dinner?

Today, keep things simple by dining out at one of our favorite area restaurants, ordering in, or preparing an easy-to-make meal. Many grocery stores have ready-to-cook meals, a fantastic option for your first vacation day. Click here if a private chef or catering service is more your style.

7. Plan a Relaxing Activity

There are so many great things to do while you are on vacation. If you are up to it, you may want to head out on a bike ride. There is a bike rental company on-site for your convenience. Of course, the beach is the main attraction! We are sure your family will be eager to get their toes in the sand and play in the surf.

8. Unwind at the End of the Day

Unwind by uncorking a bottle of wine, drinking in the peaceful surroundings from your balcony, or heading down to lounge in the pool. No matter how you decide to relax, this evening sets the mood for the rest of your vacation. Embrace the slower pace of beach life and get a good night’s sleep. You’ve got an entire vacation ahead of you!

We hope these eight easy steps will prepare you for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation… from the first day of vacation to the last. From exploring the great outdoors to snorkeling, there are many fun things to do on 30A.
