Having a long weekend on 30A is a great way to get away from your everyday routine and enjoy the Emerald Coast of Florida; there, you will discover attractive beaches, pleasant towns, good restaurants, unique shops, and a wide range of outdoor activities. It doesn’t matter whether you plan everything or make your decisions right up until the last minute, since it is easy to make the most of three days this way and enjoy both enjoyment and relaxation.
To get the most from your trip, download our free 30A Vacation Guide. It includes local tips, dining suggestions, beach information, and insider advice to help you plan a great vacation.
Day One: Beach Time and Shopping

Begin your weekend with some relaxation on the beach; Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, and Seagrove Beach all provide ample space in which to unwind, swim, and enjoy the views of the Gulf.
After spending some time in the sun, you can visit the walkable communities along 30A. Each of Seaside, Rosemary Beach, and Alys Beach has local boutiques and specialty shops, making them perfect for an afternoon stroll. It is their appeal that has made 30A one of Florida’s most popular coastal destinations.
Have a meal by the waterfront, and while you’re at it, watch the sunset as you eat fresh seafood.
Day Two: Explore the Outdoors
A great way to experience 30A is by biking, since the Timpoochee Trail is a popular cycling route connecting several beach towns and offering great views of the coast.
When you have returned from your trip, go to Grayton Beach State Park or one of the rare coastal dune lakes in South Walton. If you would like to appreciate the area’s natural landscape, you could try paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, or fishing.
If you prefer a laid-back seafood shack or an upscale restaurant, you’ll be able to enjoy fresh foods from the Gulf Coast, including shrimp, oysters, grouper, and snapper.
Day Three: Relax and Enjoy the Local Scene

On the last day, have a leisurely breakfast before returning to the beach; as it is a long weekend, you’ll be able to appreciate the laid-back atmosphere of 30A without feeling pressured.
Before you leave, take the opportunity to check out the nightlife on 30A, with live music, beachfront bars, and local hangouts providing an enjoyable way to end your trip.
Plan Around a Holiday Weekend
30A is wonderful to visit on weekends during holidays, since Memorial Day and Labor Day bring warm weather and a wide range of outdoor activities. In contrast, Thanksgiving and Christmas offer a festive atmosphere, fewer crowds, and mild weather.
